“Breed like Mormon squirrels,” Stephen Colbert instructs. Did you realize Stephen Colbert, host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, is a mouthpiece for ultra-wealthy tycoons who profit from growth? These growth pushers want us to make lots more babies – to grow the market for their products and increase competition for jobs. This depresses wages and keeps profits climbing. Who would conceive of such Machiavellian exploitation of human beings? Stephen Colbert has been particularly bold in his push to induce labor (and delivery).
This video includes scenes from The Colbert Report in which the host encourages the public to conceive more children. In one excerpt, Colbert introduces “America’s new 8-child policy,” declaring, “if we want to maintain our super-power status, we’re going to have to breed like Mormon squirrels.”
I’m sharing this video with you so the world can know the truth about Stephen Colbert. Please watch, and please share it with your colleagues, and especially your significant other. Everyone needs to know they have a right to make responsible decisions about family size. Then call Stephen Colbert. Tell him to stop encouraging overpopulation.
July 11 is World Population Day. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if on that day Colbert comes clean, confesses, and promises to support wise family planning and an end to growth addiction?

Dave, he is a COMEDIAN pretending to be a right-wing nutjob. So don’t take anything he says too serious.

I’m getting quite a chuckle out of a few comments on YouTube, facebook and now here, from a few folks who conclude I don’t understand Colbert is doing satire. Let me put your fears to rest. I am not in idiot. I know that. Now, the question is…
Did I do a poor job of making my video humorous so you would understand that I understand we are all kidding here? I think we’re getting about 4 hoorahs for every 1 message like this one, so hopefully I didn’t fail you all.

I don’t see 4 hoorah’s, I only see the one criticism. My dialup can’t handle video and I don’t see the satire in the text. Please focus on the LOCAL! because it is the ONLY way forward.
Please read these petitions advocating municipal environmental
contraception funding, which is increasingly politically realistic due
to The Big Sort in more and more towns, and helps women’s rights, quality of life, and school taxes as well as being at
least 5 times more cost-effective than any other environmental effort.

The prochoice and contraception movements are placing too high a priority on defensive actions in the red states when we should be going on the offensive, the side of “change”, in the blue states, and cities. The worst places
will get even worse no matter what we do, but the unrealized political potential, the low hanging fruit, is in making the best places even better. This opportunity is being caused by The Big Sort. Mayors are not answerable to rural voters, unlike governors and presidents.

I love The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement: http://www.vhemt.org/
Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth’s biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense.
