Having two global conferences on sustainable development and family planning within the space of three weeks is surely an indicator of rising concern about these issues, even if progress seems agonizingly slow.  Leading players, such as IPPF, Save the Children and even UNFPA, are starting to say, albeit still in guarded terms, that sustainability, family planning and “population dynamics” are linked.
